Question: Why is badminton such a noisy game?

Answer: Each player raises a racket!

You need a tool to play badminton, a racket.
That was 82 hits just to win just ONE point, but the game is not finished until you get 15 points.

Life can be that way a lot of the time. We work and work, but it seems that the job is never quite finished. As Christians, we have a freedom and an assurance that the most important job has been finished for us and HE did it all. Yes, before Jesus breathed His last breath while on the cross, He shouted “Finished”.

John 19:30 Jesus knew that He had now fulfilled all things that needed to be accomplished that the Scripture might be fulfilled. Jesus has done it all so that we do not need to work and strain our way into getting more accepted and more loved by God. “Greater love has no one than this than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

John 15.13 During these different times, hold tight to how much God cares for you. It is not as much how much we love God but receiving how much He loves you and me. Our future is secure with Jesus. When your trust is in Jesus alone, the game is over. HE WON….we win!

From Hammer to Power Tools

Wow, speaking of “pits”!

When disappointment, distraction or discouragement makes you feel like you are in the pits, it is God our Father who assures us that He has the answers and solution to any situation that we find ourselves in. If God is willing to make us righteous by what He allowed to happen on the cross to His Only Son, surely, He will see us through all struggles or challenges that we find ourselves in. He is always there to pull us up out of the pit. He wants to pull us out. Human effort or self-effort does not offer sure results, but God promises a solution always for those who believe.

Matthew 12:11 “Then He said to them, ‘What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value is a man than a sheep?’”

Even when temptation strikes, which could lead to self-condemnation, God provides a way out.

Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to bear it.”

Men, let’s live a condemnation free life because God has said that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 8:1-2 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Jesus Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

“WE’RE FREE!”

Welcome Men - Got Tools?

Hi Men.

Welcome to our new "Power Tools" blog for men. We are creating this so we have a method of communication for the men of Foothills Foursquare Church, and friends who want to view. We will keep new information coming. If you subscribe to this blog you will get a notification when new information arrives. Enjoy!

When you have the right tool, life becomes easier and more peaceful.

Think about how many men and man hours it used to take to harvest trees. Now the workers are heavy equipment operators with BIG tools. What brings you peace and power so that you can produce much with your life?

Our peace comes in knowing that God our Father has reunited us with Himself through His Son's finished work on the cross.

There is no greater love than this.

Once for all, we need not add anything to this graceful act.

Join us as we share stories and encouragement about becoming acquainted with the power of God through Jesus Christ.
